Rochester's most fashionable bike rides roll again!
Dig out your hot summer fashions, tune up your classic #bike or bring it into the shop, and buckle to it a fancy picnic basket. Last year's awesome picnic everyone loved so much we're reprising at Charles Carroll Plaza along the Genesee River at Andrews St downtown.
There, park and pre-position your car if you must, then ride your bikes to Hart's Local Grocers for 10am #breakfast—courtesy of Hart's, sponsor also for our 5th Annual Tweed Ride in October 2014. Buy or supplement your #picnic and off we roll for roughly a two-hour, 12-mile, scenic ride through #historic Rochester. We'll post later our two catch-up and scenic photo spots, for those who cannot wake early enough to catch us at the start!
We finish and then gather at the ampitheater at Charles Carroll Plaza for quaint contests, such as our famous teacup ride, slow ride, and bicycle jousting to the death. There Dan and Amy, with Sara, also award prizes only to the survivors for Most Dapper, Best Dressed, and Most Noble Steed.
Let's picnic well this year, the last year to enjoy the Plaza and Crossroads Park. Next year brings construction to the parking garage below, and what comes after, who knows? CityofRochester.gov/article.aspx?id=8589967586
Please rsvp upper right, and also “Invite” your friends likely to rsvp and go. The Seersucker Ride wouldn't be much without each of you making it so much fun!
